Command & Conquer Network
/ Electronic Arts
Electronic Arts, one of the world’s most successful publisher of
electronic games, wanted to find a way to leverage the incredible
success and brand awareness of their sports titles (“EA Sports…it’s in
the game!”) to other game franchises. Our solution was to create a
broadband line-up of “E! meets ESPN”-styled original programming based
on new game releases, beginning with their extremely popular “Command
& Conquer” franchise. We supervised the construction of a working TV
studio at the EA facility in Playa del Rey, then created and produced
the programming for the “Command & Conquer network”. It premiered
around the world in September 2007 to rave reviews and increased game
sales. The network is now a global success, and just celebrated its
one-year anniversary with a huge gala event at the World Games
Convention in Leipzig Germany.
PBS Kids Sprout / Comcast
Comcast and PBS wanted to launch the first 24-hour channel dedicated
strictly to the 2-6 year old set. The challenge was to launch and
brand the network, creating an identity separate from the local PBS
Kids programming block, as well as developing some of the first
original short-form series. Using stylish 2-D graphics, cuddly Super-8
film shoots, catchy original music, and clever writing that never
talked down to kids, the network launched to great success, and is now
the fastest growing children’s network.
Road to Stardom, The Missy
Elliott Project
Along with a team of top reality show producers, Missy Elliott and
Mona Scott, we assisted in developing and producing Missy’s hot
reality show looking for the next “Super Star.” The show took a group
of aspiring artist around the country as they competed for a record
contract with Missy Elliott and a $100,000 dollar prize. The show
aired on UPN for 13 episodes.
How Models Are Made with Paul
Wharton
Gate Pass developed and produced a one-hour video for aspiring
supermodels. On camera we featured a team of specialists from top
modeling agencies, high fashion photographers and fashion insiders who
explained what it really takes to break into modeling. The video also
featured top models that demonstrated how to pose for the camera and
how to walk the runway.
